CUSTOM RIFLE TRIGGER GROUP INSTALLATION
) Degas to start with so the gun can't accidentally fire.
) There's a spring-wire behind the trigger, pull it forward with a pick and pull the safety out by the wider end.
) Take the stock screw out, then remove the stock.
) The rear of the trigger case has a screw and the front has a stock lug that the stock screw threads into. Those need to be removed for the trigger group to come off.
) Put the new group in place and snug the screw and lug back in. Don't torque them hard, just snug. The stock lug or tube threads can strip if tightened too much. If mounting a group with a polymer casing the casing will compress too far and be damaged if over-tightened.
) Put the stock back on with the stock screw snug, don't over-tighten, just snug.
) Pull the spring wire forward to get the safety back in. It's easier to push the wire forward from the smaller hole, then put the safety through the larger hole to hold the wire forward. Then pull the wire from behind the trigger to get the safety the rest of the way in. It takes some wiggling to get it to fall into place, don't force it.
